The IEEE Iran Section has approved the organization of the 2026 Conference on Renewable Energy Systems and Emerging Technologies (RESET 2026) and authorized the conference paper indexing process. Professor Mahmoudreza Haghighi-Fam Appointed as Keynote Speaker at the Renewable Energy Systems and Emerging Technologies

Professor Mahmoudreza Haghighi-Fam, Full Professor at Tarbiat Modares University and a prominent and influential figure in the field of electrical engineering and energy in Iran, has been appointed as a Keynote Speaker at the Conference on Renewable Energy Systems and Emerging Technologies. Professor Haghighi-Fam has extensive academic, managerial, and executive experience at both national and international levels. Since 2015, he has served as Deputy for Electric Distribution at Tavanir Company, Member of the Board of Directors of Tavanir Company, and Member of the Iran Electricity Market Regulatory Committee. He has also been a member of the Iran National Electric Reliability Council since 2013. In the academic domain, Professor Haghighi-Fam has been a Full Professor at Tarbiat Modares University since 2006, having previously held the positions of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the same institution. He has also served as Vice Dean for Research and Vice Dean for Education at the Faculty of Engineering of Tarbiat Modares University.
His international academic experience includes appointments as Visiting Professor and Researcher at leading institutions such as the Institute for Automation of Complex Power Systems (IAEW), RWTH Aachen University, Germany, supported by DAAD and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation fellowships, as well as the University of Calgary, Canada. In terms of scholarly and research achievements, Professor Haghighi-Fam has an outstanding academic record, including:

Four international book chapters (in English)
Six technical books (in Persian)
More than 250 papers published in international journals
More than 80 papers published in national journals
Over 300 papers presented at international conferences
Two registered patents in Iran
More than 50 technical and professional reports
